The vacationer will find there beaches, beautiful cities for shopping and interesting sights. However, Monaco is not part of the Schengen area. Until now, travelers from many countries could travel to Monaco without a visa. Will this also be possible so easily with ETIAS?

 An ETIAS permit is also required for Monaco

 Although Monaco is not part of the Schengen area, it borders France. The other border is the Mediterranean Sea. Monaco itself does not have an airport, so that a journey is only possible via Nice. From Nice (also a beautiful city, by the way), the journey then continues to the Principality.

Besides Monaco, there are three other states that have a comparable status. Andorra, San Marino and Vatican City have a similar status. For San Marino and Vatican City, the country of entry is Italy. For Andorra either France or Spain.

 ETIAS can be filled out quickly. As mentioned, the first country of entry must be indicated. Entry via this border crossing is mandatory for the first entry.

Passport is required for correct completion. The data must be transferred accurately, as even a small error will invalidate ETIAS. The other questions must also be answered to the best of your knowledge.

After a short time the tourist receives a confirmation and can drive. In individual cases it may take a few hours or days. Therefore, the application should not be filled in on the last day.

ETIAS is valid for three years, unless the passport loses its validity earlier.
