 A brief outline of the history of France

 The history of France fills several volumes and is rich in ups and downs. In particular, the often complicated relationship with its neighbour Germany has often been discussed.

Germany is one of the founding countries of the EU. Germany was already one of the signatory states when the Treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community was signed in 1951. In 957, Germany signed the Treaty of Rome, which established the European Economic Community, and it was also a signatory to the Treaty on European Union in 1992. Germany was also one of the five founding countries that signed the Schengen Agreement on 14 June 1985, which was implemented in March of the following year.

FRONTEX is one of those acronyms that is hardly known among the population. FRONTEX means frontières extérieures and is the European Border and Coast Guard Agency. Its task is to monitor the external borders of the Schengen area and prevent unauthorised entry. FRONTEX officers are responsible for border control, among other things. With the introduction of ETIAS at the end of the year, the importance of ETIAS is increasing.

 The most important tasks of FRONTEX

Croatia is a country of longing for many series fans, as it is home to several locations of the legendary TV series Game-of-Thrones. People within the EU only need an identity card or passport. But what about people in other countries who would also like to visit the locations? Although Croatia is part of the EU, it is not yet part of the Schengen area. A Schengen visa is therefore not yet valid in the country.
